Distinguished Alumni Award Nominations
Distinguished Alumni Criteria for Nominations
1) Nominees must be GRADUATES from Denison High School, St. Xavier’s Academy, or Terrell School in Denison, Texas or Terrell School in Denison, Texas or coached/taught in one of the above schools.
2) Nominees must have graduated ten (10) years prior to nomination.
In Addition: Distinguished Alumni nominees must distinguish themselves by ONE of the following:
1) Significant contribution to our country through public or military service
2) Significant contribution in their chosen field or profession
3) Outstanding measures of service to Denison schools or the Denison community
Requirements:
1) Completed application for nomination
2) Typewritten letter of recommendation
3) Nominees’ resume
4) Other supporting documentation such as newspaper or magazine articles
5) Current photograph
Sports Hall of Fame Criteria for Nominations
1) Nominees must be GRADUATES from Denison High School, St. Xavier’s Academy, or Terrell School in Denison, Texas or coached/taught in one of the above schools.
2) Nominees must have graduated, coached or taught ten (10) years prior to nomination.
In Addition: Sports Hall of Fame nominees must distinguish themselves by ONE of the following:
1) Outstanding athletic performance in related sports field in high school
2) Must have coached in one of the schools named above
Requirements:
1) Completed application for nomination
2) Typewritten letter of recommendation
3) Nominees’ resume
4) Other supporting documentation such as newspaper or magazine articles
5) Current photograph
Distinguished DISD Educator Criteria for Nominations
1) Nominees must be current, former or retired Educators and/or Administrators of the Denison Independent School District and have been employed for at least five (5) years.
2) Significant contribution in their chosen field or profession to the improvement of the quality of education for all students.
3) Outstanding measures of service to Denison schools and/or the Denison community.
Requirements:

3) Nominees’ resume
4) Other supporting documentation such as newspaper or magazine articles
5) Current photograph
